These 3D printed butterflies were an experiment to see how thin I could print with my 3D printer. The wings are made up of three layers of PLA: a black detail layer, the white filler layer and then another black detail layer. The wings are then warmed and molded into shape and sculpted onto the body, adding the legs and antenna etc.
