Changing States of the Metaphysical - Ice Sculpure
This sculpture was made by taking a lifecast with plaster bandage, painting in wax to the mould pieces and wax welding the pieces together to get a wax figure (pic left)
Then a latex mould was made over the wax figure. And a plaster jacket was made so the water would be held in place. The latex mould was filled with water and put in a big freezer warehouse.
Changing States was a part of the 3rd and 4th year Sculpture exhibition. It melted over 4 days
Derelict Spirit - lifesize wax figure
a life size figure that was exhibited in the 2006 3rd and 4th year Sculpture exhibition. It was displayed in a dark room with a single spotlight shining on the face, which lit up the hollow wax sculpture in a translucent airy way.
